Job description

Build Everest with us. Find exceptional businesses, lead acquisitions and help secure the capital to grow.

About Everest

Everest is building an AI-native holding company. Our ambition is to acquire profitable, established businesses and strengthen them through exceptional people, disciplined operations and Everest Core, our shared operating, data and AI backbone. We are developing the team and acquisition strategy for this next chapter, with a particular interest in durable service businesses.

Your role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial dealmaker to work directly with the founder and help build Everest for the long term. You will shape where we invest, build relationships with owners and capital partners, and lead transactions from the first conversation through closing and handover. The ambition is to build the capabilities and capital base for progressively larger acquisitions.

What you will own

  • Define our acquisition criteria and priority sectors, focusing on profitability, durable demand, recurring or repeat revenue and capable management.

  • Build and own dealflow through relationships with business owners, intermediaries, investors and operators.

  • Lead underwriting, valuation, financial modelling, diligence, negotiation and transaction execution, coordinating specialist advisers.

  • Work with the founder on fundraising, lender relationships and acquisition financing, including equity, debt and seller participation.

  • Develop an operating and integration case with company leaders and the Everest Core team, then track performance against the investment thesis.

Your first priorities

  • Translate the strategy into a focused acquisition profile and a realistic capital plan.

  • Build a qualified pipeline and assess the first serious opportunities.

  • Develop investment cases and financing relationships that support an executable first acquisition.

The opportunity

A founding leadership role with substantial responsibility for Everest's direction and growth. We want to explore a long-term partnership with equity participation for the right person. Compensation, equity, working arrangements and any formal co-founder position will be agreed individually before joining.

Job requirements

  • Direct responsibility for completed acquisitions, with clear examples of your personal contribution to sourcing, underwriting, financing or closing.

  • Strong commercial and financial judgment, including cash flow, business quality, debt capacity and downside risk.

  • The ability to earn trust with business owners, investors, lenders and advisers, and build relationships from scratch.

  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach and the ambition to build an enduring company, team and acquisition capability.

  • Experience in private equity, corporate development, investment banking, acquisition entrepreneurship or a comparable transaction role. Practical interest in using AI to improve research, diligence and operations.
